RIMA Offers Workshop at Construct 2008 The Reflective Insulation Manufacturers Association (RIMA) will be presenting a workshop at Construct 2008 being held June 3-6 at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. The workshop will be held on Monday, June 3rd from 2 – 3 p.m. The seminar is entitled “Benefits of Reflective Insulation & Radiant Barriers” and will begin by establishing the credibility for the technology including terminology and definitions, ASTM Standards, code references, Energy Star and green qualities. The various products included in this industry will be reviewed including insulation basics, air and gas based insulations, and low-emittance properties. The building science will be covered by Dr. David Yarbrough of R&D Services, Inc., followed by a discussion of Hybrid insulation systems and how combining technologies for greater energy savings results in improved comfort.
